Robert Andrew Parker was born in 1927 in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a mid and second half of the 20th century artist. This painting is dated 1958. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and worked at Skowhegan in Main and at the William Hayter Atelier. He has been exclusively exhibited since 1954. He also did set designs for opera  and films and did children's books illustrations. His works in oil are extremely rare.  Aside from small chips, it is in good condition (see photos).  It is unframed (28"X20")
