Lillian Jones is a 20th century self taught painter.  Ashe has been described as an "Outside Artist" and as a folk artist.  While her works may cover some naïveté, they are also highly skilled. It is dated March 1967 on the upper left corner of the rear.  The Frame has several scuffs (see photos).  The landscape background seems to be of New England.  It is in very good condition.
